Čuma

"Quote here."
—Name Here

Appearance
Čuma is typically viewed by mortals that find her or catch a glimpse of her as an old woman with deathly pale skin, long white hair that flows from underneath a headscarf and a flowing white dress. To look at her face you would find she has two sets of beady black eyes.

The second set is hidden by cloth and exaggerated wrinkles. In one hand she carries a staff made of birch, and in the other, she carries scissors in which to cut the cord of someone’s life. There were a few ways to avoid Čuma during times of plague. Disease could run rampant, but people would clean their homes (which, in the end, did help) or grant offerings including basil and a comb.

She has in her domain a book of names and a bowl of poison darts.

Actions

+3 Quarterstaff.

Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach # ft., 1 target. Hit: 14 (1d6 + 3d6 necrotic) [bludgeoning] damage.
Staff, Artifact (Requires Attunement by a Fey or a Spellcaster)
This staff can be wielded as a magic quarterstaff that grants a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls. The staff has 10 charges and regains 1d6 + 4 expended charges daily at dawn. If you expend the last charge, roll a d20. On a 1, the staff is destroyed in an otherwise harmless burst of eldritch energy.
Eldritch Attack. When you hit with a melee attack using the staff, you can expend up to 3 of its charges. For each charge you expend, the target takes an extra 1d8 lightning damage.

Eldritch Escape. If you take damage while holding the staff, you can use your reaction to expend 3 of the staff's charges, whereupon you turn invisible and teleport yourself, along with any equipment you are wearing or carrying, up to 60 feet to an unoccupied space that you can see. You remain invisible until the start of your next turn or until you attack, cast a spell, or deal damage.

Destroying the Staff A creature in possession of the staff can use an action to break it over one knee or a solid surface. The staff is destroyed and releases its remaining magic in an explosion that expands to fill a 30-foot-radius sphere centered on it. Each creature in the area must make a DC 18 Dexterity saving throw, taking 132 (24d10) force damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. When the staff is destroyed, the life force of the Forgotten One is released to the afterlife. Where it goes is anyone's guess.

Casting the staff into a Sphere of Annihilation destroys both the staff and the Life force trapped within it. The staff doesn't explode if destroyed in this manner, but its destruction causes the sphere to be destroyed as well.

Magic Shears.

Ranged Weapon Attack: +# to hit, range #/# ft., # target. Hit: # (#d# + #) [piercing] damage.
Wondrous Item, Artifact (Requires Attunement by a Fey or a Spellcaster)
As an action, you make a few snips with these iron shears and cause the shadow of a Humanoid creature you can see within 5 feet of you to detach from its source. If the creature is unwilling to give up its shadow, it can make a DC 15 Charisma saving throw, retaining its shadow on a success. Whether or not the shadow is snipped, this property of the scissors can't be used again until the next dawn.

The detached shadow is rooted to the spot where it was snipped until you use a bonus action to cause it to behave in one of the following ways, either of which is possible only if you can see the shadow:

A creature whose shadow has detached from it is cursed. If a shadowless creature is subjected to any spell that ends a curse, or if its detached shadow is reduced to 0 hit points, the detached shadow disappears, and the creature regains its normal shadow instantly.

Bonus Actions
Poison Darts Čuma can reach into her bowl of darts and throw them at a single dart.

Reactions
Shear Cost. Using the Magic Shears, Čuma can snip the air around a character within 5ft and draw a Fate Card to change the fate of their action.

Legendary Actions 4 Legendary Actions.
Call Iele (Costs 1 Action). Can call forth more Iele to help to have a max of 7 on the field with a minimum of 3. If there is one or less iele on the field no more can be summoned forth.
Damage Transfer (Cost 2 Actions). Can transfer half damage dealt to allied creatures.

Mythic Actions 4 Legendary Actions.
Discordant Daughter from the Underworld. After reaching 0, Čuma returns to the Underworld, reforms and can come back without legendary traits where she must regain power.
